Saving Forest Habitats
Forests play a key role in climate change regulation. Unfortunately, forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. This is adversely affecting global environment including species extinction, loss of essential ecosystem services and the reduction of carbon sinks. SURUDEV is saving montane and rain forests through support for creation and management of protected areas, community forestry and forest restoration programs. SURUDEV is working with the indigenous communities to protect forests which they solely depend on. We invest in forest dependent peoples to use forest resources in a sustainable manner that would benefit their needs and that ofdd wildlife.
