Promoting Sustainable Agriculture and restoration of degraded ecosystems
We strive to improve food security and income of poor rural farmers in the ecological regions of Cameroon where land degradation is at the highest via training and support programs that improve their capacity and put smiles on their faces. Our programs also give ecological balance as they boost soil health and improve on productivity. We employ the integration of water friendly trees and agro- forestry tree species via the forest gardening approach, creation of eco-village and employing sustainable agro-forestry techniques such as live fencing, Alley cropping wind breaks etc. This limits the constant encroachment into protected areas for fuel wood and other NTFPs. This has also resulted to other gains like the increase in the quantity of honey harvested.
