SURUDEV Trains some 70 staff of the Ministry of Small amd Medium Size Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicraft in Bamenda

The training that took place at the Bamenda III handicraft village iat Mile IV Nkwen in Bamenda was organized by SURUDEV in partnership with the Director of the handicraft Village. The training comes within a backdrop of SURUDEV’s objectives of training at least some 1000 women =, men and youths in mushroom cultivation around the North-West and South-West Regions as a means of recovery with the ongoing NOSO crisis. The four days training included assembling of substrates material, sensitization of trainees, the training proper, and installation of shelves and transformation of the mushrooms especially into mushroom soya. Pasrticipants left very satisfied and pledged to follow upo their group farms composed of some 100 substrates and in future to create their own farms. During the training and transformation program, the Director of the handicraft village was elated sand thank the team from SURUDEV for not only training and equipping them with mushroom growing knowledge but also with knowledge on transformation of mushrooms to improve on its value and income.
