SURUDEV ACQUIRES A 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE

Sustainable Run for Development (SURUDEV) recently acquired a 4 wheel drive vehicle, A Toyota Hilux 2015 model to ease her field activities. The purchase of the vehicle was proudly sponsored by MIVA Swiss with SURUDEV funding a fraction of the said amount. While on a visit on Friday 22nd of December 2023 to SURUDEV office after the vehicle purchase, Mr.Ngwainmbi Simon who represents MIVA Swiss in Cameroon was very satisfied with the quality of Vehicle and was also surprised how the vehicle was already assisting the organization on the field just few weeks after its acquisition. He also shared his views on how the sustainable management of the 4 wheel Hilux vehicle could enhance its sustainability and better serve the organization in driving its mission forward. Both organizations pledged to also work together to serve a common goal of enhancing a better live on earth through its sustainable management.

SURUDEV Executive Director Kari Jackson on his part said the donation of the Hilux vehicle comes at the most needed time in the life of the organization especially when they were from planting over 100000 native trees to restore degraded forest landscapes under very difficult circumstances of tree transportation and creation of several nurseries. The vehicle will sustain our landscape restoration projects said Kari” It is a square perk in a square hole and will also ensure the expansion of pour new projects which are very distant from one another and from our Bamenda office base, we hope to better serve our communities and realize our objectives and mission. SURUDEV has also recruited a new Driver who will be in charge of the vehicle maintenance and driving. The Director and his staff also pledged to maintain the vehicle jealously and ensure it serves us  properly.
