The Sustainable Run for Development-SURUDEV, a not for profit organization based in the North West Region is entering into records in great names. This is so due to the impact SURUDEV is creating through its Sustainable Bio Demonstration Farms located in Bongom, Donga Mantung Division. The farms which habours onion, okro and especially watermelon is at the center of attraction thanks to its uniqueness and innovative approaches.

The President of the Republic of Cameroon has appealed to world leaders to save the world’s second largest basin, Lake Chad which is a source of livelihood to some forty million people. He was speaking in Paris during the UN summit on climate change which brought together over 150 heads of states. Paul Biya said checking Climate Change is everyone’s business.

President Paul Biya stressed the need for binding solutions to disasters caused by climate change in his address to participants at the conference.
During a mini-summit on climate change and African solutions on the side-lines of the Paris Climate Change Forum, Presidents Paul Biya, Francois Hollande and other African leaders discussed the future of the African continent.

During the France/Africa Mini-Summit, the government of France pledged the sum of six million Euros as contribution to the provision of renewable energy to Cameroon and to other African countries beginning 2016.

The pledge was made in Paris – France by French President Francois Hollande, as he chaired the mini-summit on climate change and African solutions.

In his address at the meeting, President Paul Biya stressed the need for financing African development projects as a solution to climate change.
